Six Days.
Zero Escape.

Halloween takeover from Monday 26th right through to Saturday 31st — the whole of half term. Every attraction goes dark, and the horror games come out.

🎃 The Whole Venue Gets A Halloween Makeover

For one week only, Fun City goes dark. Fog across the floors, cobwebs over the arcade, pumpkins everywhere and the lights turned blood red. Every attraction stays open — they just get a lot more frightening.

Mon 26

Half Term Opens

We don’t normally open Mondays. Half term is the exception — one week only.

Tues 27

🎃 Pumpkin Carving

Carving and decorating session for the kids. Come dressed up — it all counts towards the costume contest.

Wed 28

Thurs 29

Horror Night

Horror VR running from open to close, and the laser tag arena in total darkness. 18+ for the VR.

The Big One
Strictly 18+

Enter
If You Dare.

Two horror experiences, and neither is gentle. Insanity : The Haunting puts your group inside a haunted mansion as paranormal investigators — puzzles, darkness and something that does not want you to finish. Death Squad drops you into a co-op zombie shooter and asks how long you can hold out.

Vampire wearing a VR headset

🧛 It Knows You’re There

Something ancient is already inside the headset, waiting for you to put it on.

Figure wearing a VR headset in the dark

🧟 They’re Getting Closer

You can hear them shuffling behind you. Turning round is the worst thing you can do.

Chained and bloodied cabin door

🔒 The Door Stays Shut

Chained from the outside. Whatever’s behind it has been in there a long time.

Horror VR experience at Fun City Dudley
⚠️ 18+ Only — No Exceptions

You Have Been Warned.

Strap on the headset and the room disappears. One night you’re edging through a haunted mansion in near-total darkness, finding clues and unlocking what’s locked. The next you’re back to back with your mates, watching the dead come at you in waves.

No pause button. No way out until it’s finished with you.

This is not suitable for children, and it is not suitable for the faint-hearted.

  • Insanity : The Haunting — haunted mansion, puzzles, total darkness
  • Death Squad — co-op zombie shooter, wave after wave
  • Both are co-op — nobody goes in alone
  • Strictly 18+ — ID required, Challenge 25 in operation
  • Not suitable for anyone with a heart condition
  • Not suitable if you’re pregnant or prone to seizures
  • Contains sustained darkness, loud noise and intense scares
See It Before You Book

This Is What
You’re Walking Into.

Watch it with the sound on. Then decide whether you’re brave enough.

👻 Insanity : The Haunting

Your group become paranormal investigators inside a haunted mansion. Solve the puzzles, unlock the mechanisms, hold your nerve in the dark.

🧟 Death Squad

Relentless waves of zombies and a co-op shooter to hold them off. Buy weapons, unlock new areas, and deal with whatever the Tank brings with it.

Halloween laser tag with smoke and strobes at Fun City Dudley
Blackout Laser Tag

Smoke. Strobes.

The arena goes pitch black for Halloween week. Thick smoke, strobe lighting and nothing but the glow of your vest giving your position away.

You’ll hear them before you see them.

  • Blackout arena with full smoke machine
  • Strobe lighting throughout the session
  • Halloween game modes — survive the horde
  • Great for groups, stag and hen parties

Strobe lighting and smoke effects are in use. Please speak to our team if anyone in your group is photosensitive.

Before You Come

Questions?

When is Halloween Week?
Monday 26th October through to Saturday 31st October. The venue is decorated and the Halloween attractions run all week.
How scary is the horror VR, really?
Very. It’s strictly 18+ with ID required, and it isn’t suitable for anyone with a heart condition, anyone who is pregnant, or anyone prone to seizures. It involves sustained darkness, loud noise and intense scares. If you’re unsure, ask our team and we’ll be honest with you.
Is the daytime suitable for young children?
Yes. Saturday 31st daytime is built for families — costume contest, crafts and all eleven attractions open as normal. The horror VR is not available during the daytime.
What time does the Halloween party start?
The evening party on Saturday 31st begins once the daytime activities finish. Give us a call on 01384 492737 for exact times and to book a booth.
Do I need to book in advance?
Strongly recommended. Halloween week is our busiest of the year and the horror VR slots go fast — walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability.
Are there strobe lights and smoke effects?
Yes — the laser tag arena uses strobe lighting and a smoke machine throughout Halloween week. Please speak to our team if anyone in your group is photosensitive.
How does the costume contest work?
Turn up in costume any day from Monday 26th to Saturday 31st. Kids are entered automatically — our team will take a photo when you arrive. Adults enter by taking a selfie here in costume and tagging @fun_city_dudley. Winners are announced on Saturday 31st.
What are the costume prizes?
The kids’ winner gets a Fun City Halloween goodie bag full of sweets and surprises. The adults’ winner gets a return family pass for four, redeemable any time before the end of 2026.
What’s on for younger children?
Tuesday 27th — pumpkin carving and decorating. Wednesday 28th, 2pm–4pm — Halloween crafts in the party room with Hocus Pocus on the big screen. Plus Halloween crafts on Saturday.
Can we come in costume?
Please do — that’s how you enter the contest. Just keep masks off during laser tag and VR for safety.
Can we book for a big group?
Absolutely — hen dos, stag dos, work socials and birthdays are all welcome. Get in touch and we’ll sort your attractions, food and a reserved area.
